Reporting on the business world is an important matter in a rapidly changing economy whose constant flux is keenly monitored by the public at large. Assessing and selecting information and explaining clearly the correlations and backgrounds within which that information is positioned calls for particular skills on the part of the business journalist. With a view to promoting high-quality reporting in the business and financial field, the Dieter von Holtzbrinck media group annually awards the Georg von Holtzbrinck Prize for Business Journalism. In addition to awarding one prize for young talent, the jury selects one award-winner from the categories print, electronic and online media.
