The international financial crises and their impact on Germany and Europe have been dominating the news over the past years. Public confidence in politicians and business managers have faded to a great extent. Thus, in these times excellent journalistic reports are of significant importance.
With a view to promoting high-quality reporting in the business and financial field, the publisher Dieter von Holtzbrinck annually awards the Georg von Holtzbrinck Prize for Business Journalism. In addition to awarding one prize for young talent, the jury selects one award-winner from the categories print, online and electronic media.
